The Heart of Iowa Band has invested in an endowment fund through the Story County Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines. This endowment fund will help to keep the band solvent for future generations. We also plan to use some of the funds from the endowment to pay for scholarships for a deserving Story County high school senior who plans to attend a 4-year college or university and major in instrumental music.
